The lights have been down for weeks, the trees have been abandoned by the side of the road – but it’s still Xmas in February! X-mas Tree Clips, that is…
X-mas tree clips are a push-in fastener, a cousin of the rivet – used mainly to attach all sorts of trim (rubber, foam, wood, etc.) to existing furniture, walls, floors, etc.
Some clips feature an upward-pointing, ribbed shaft that ensures fast, easy installation and secure holding in a wide range of materials. Several head, prong and point styles are available with this type of shaft. Another type of X-mas tree clip sports outward-pointing retaining fins on its shaft, and self-centering construction – guaranteeing that repeated insertion and removal will not damage the fins: or the material utilizing the clip. Lastly, circular fin, non-removable “pine tree” clips offer a lower insertion force with a higher pullout strength – resulting in a stronger, yet easier, panel fastener.
X-mas tree clips are molded in corrosion, abrasion and vibration-resistant nylon. They provide an economical fastening method for a wide range of thicknesses and materials. Quick assembly – strong, reliable finish – and they can be used in blind hole applications!
